What to Expect

Our church family is comprised of young and old with a mixture of cultural backgrounds. Dress tends to be business-casual, but there is always a mixture of casual and blue jeans. We have morning worship service followed by a time in scriptural teaching on preparation of both individual and corporate body for the Lord’s Second Coming. We accommodate parents with infants through toddlers to join in our services.

Services are two and half hours in length with seventy-five minutes of praise and worship and seventy-five minutes of preaching. Our singing is a blend of old and new in our praise of God. We aim to sing songs that turn us toward God, are full of theological truth, and exalt Jesus Christ.

All members of the congregation are encouraged to worship the Lord as Apostle Paul exhorted the Corinthian church – What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up. 1 Cor. 14:26

Brothers who have committed to the study of the scriptures are encouraged to preach and teach for the exhortation and strengthening of the body of Christ as Apostle Paul exhorted the Corinthian church – Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said. And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop. For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged. The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets. 1 Cor. 14:29-32

We have a practice of teaching from a book or a passage from the Bible, verse by verse examining the original meaning of the text and how it needs to be applied in our lives today to walk in the counsel of the Holy Spirit. At the conclusion of our time, we stay back for some time of fellowship with one another and catching up with each other’s lives.  The meeting room has many comfortable seating areas and includes a kitchen for any fellowship lunch or thanksgiving meetings.
