“…Ye shall be witness unto me both in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and unto uttermost of the earth" - Acts 1: 8
When believers not only believed in Him for his propitiatory work on the cross but also identified with the Lord in His death and resurrection through Baptism, the Holy Spirit is given as a gift unto them (Acts 2:38).
The Spirit empowers them (John 6:63) to live in a new realm unto the Lord. The Holy Spirit helps believers to understand His plans and the Purposes of God. He also helps those who earnestly seek to overcome the flesh and the world by using the resurrection life. Because flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God (1 Cor 15: 50).
We need to live unto the Lord rather than unto the world to participate as rulers in His coming kingdom.
For those who have this experience, Lord also uses them to be His witnesses and as His stewards in this world. This world is presently ruled by the evil one, who is called as prince of this world in John 12:31, 14:30, 16:11, as a god of this world in 2 Cor 4: 4.
Those who are empowered by the Spirit they will continue to fight as faithful witnesses and servants unto the Lord to expand His kingdom. Lord delivers his goods unto his servants as we read in Matthew 25: 14 and Luke 19:13, to work in the adverse atmosphere where everything is under the influence of the evil one.
Those who faithfully fight for the interests of the Lord by the power of the Spirit will suitably be rewarded by the Lord in the coming dispensation. Those who overcome the flesh and world and fight for the Lord’s rights in the world are Called, Chosen, and Faithful.
We see this group of people are with the Lord fighting against the enemy at the end times in Rev 17:14 and they overcame him (the evil one) by the word of their testimony (Rev 12:11). It is truly a blessing to receive the goods of the Lord and use them faithfully for His glory.
As the Spirit teaches us how to fight the war against the evil one (Psalms 143:1), those who are habitually faithful to the testimony of the Lord.
